From the BERGOUGNAN vulcanization workshop, the latest Le Gaulois tires with tread markings emerge from the hot molds. Produced for over 20 years, this model has made the brand famous.

A century later, the (slightly crazy!) project to restart their production has come to an end.

It's been a long road to get here. We found a number of period models. We modeled them in 3D. Then we designed and machined a new type of mold to accurately produce the tread markings. We had to analyze a multitude of vintage tires to define the color closest to the rubber used over a century ago.

Even more complicated, we then had to find the best manufacturer to produce them !

Nowadays, BERGOUGNAN tires are manufactured by a world leader in bicycle tires, with extensive know-how and state-of-the-art technology. As a result, we can offer you authentic-looking tires of the highest possible quality.

A test phase to guarantee the required quality.

These first samples are currently in the validation phase:

  • Validation of their mountability on a range of vintage rims
  • Validation of their performance on the road
  • Legal approval on testing bench
  • Certification by the manufacturer according to his own conformity criteria

And once all the necessary approvals have been passed, we will (finally!) open the shop.
